As you become stronger to hold yourself up in the silks, you will start learning wheeldowns, front dives and increasing your time in the air and higher up. Intermediate 1 will involve more splits tricks and strength moves, where you can increase your flexibility and upper body strength. Tricks will be higher off the ground! Over the term you will progress and learn a fully choreographed routine.
Build on your foundations that you learnt in Beginners in preparation for Intermediate 1 Silks. Learn additional aerial setups for your invert and hiplocks, and complicated wraps around your body with the silks. Students will be introduced to rational drops and other strength based tricks. This is a progressive 8 week course that follows on from the Beginners course and must be started at the beginning of a term. In Beginners 2, students will build on the basic aerial combinations covered in Beginners and develop strength for inversions in preparation for dynamic drops. This class explores more complex wraps and aerial combinations to help you develop stamina and confidence up high.

Advanced 2 continues to build on students endurance and ability in spin, as well as increasing their acrobatics on top of the Lyra. Special emphasis is place on students learning to showcase their own individual strengths, building a well rounded focus on performance. This is a progressive 8 week course and must be started at the beginning of a term. In our 8 Week Silks course you will learn how to wrap, spin and climb to new aerial heights. Our higly qualified aerial instructor will go through a series of conditioning exercises to help you gain the strength for more impressive moves down the track. In true Divas style, finish the class with a fun dance which incorporates the silk and the basic moves you have just learnt in class. Build your knowledge of foundation silks moves or prepare you for our Intermediate Silks level.

Learn a dance routine to build stamina and work on your form in the air. This is a consolidation level - the focus is on gaining stamina and endurance as well as learning new connections and sequences using all the skills you've learnt so far. Our highest level of lyra focuses on large aerial combos, and combining drops and spins. This course will build on your strength and endurance whilst teaching new transitions in and out of aerial combinations. Develop lyra performance, working on a 4 minute routine. Perform single arm spin combination with up to 5 shapes under lyra (e.g splits, tuck, pike etc)
Use this 8 week course as your starting platform with Contortion. Split into two sections, the first half of the class involves deep partner stretching – helping you reach into positions you cannot get to yourself. The second half is filled with learning contortion tricks such as chest stands, bridge variations, elbow and handstands and walkovers before finishing off with conditioning for back and abdominal strength.
Pre Requisites:
Must be able to touch toes, have almost a flat split, and be able to hold a back bridge.
