Stretches are held for longer to reach extra depth with an emphasis on breathing to get length without bulking. Split into two sections, the first half of the class involves deep partner stretching – helping you reach into positions you cannot get to yourself. The ever-popular Straddle Sessions has now been redesigned for Fly Gym! Supported in the Fly Gym, you will be able to more easily isolate the correct muscles to strengthen and engage the core, back, hip flexors, arms and legs. This is a progressive 8 week course and must be started at the beginning of a term! This is a 8 week dance based course where you learn new choreography and refine it every two weeks. This is a great opportunity to take your dance training to the next level and not only learn and refine the fundamentals of dance but start to find your own individual style. It will start with a heel based warm up to help strengthen both your ankles and legs. In class we will explore musically techniques and interpretation of movement. Over time we will cover spotting and spinning, isolation, action and general body awareness including articulation of the feet, legs, arms and torso. This is definitely a class that will challenge you both physically and mentally, so take the chance to "step up” and find the dancer in you!
